Drake Center

Joyful Noise are visiting Drake Center to perform a couple hymns.

This is the South Wing, 2nd floor.

After setting up, while the girls are waiting to perform, 

they are watching the tweeting birds.

Hannah is playing some soothing Canon in D for the patients.

It is getting closer to our time to play.

We played two hymns.

How Great Thou Art and Jesus Loves Me.

 

It was very difficult to have everyone agree on what to eat for lunch.

Rehearsal

Monday 7. 21. 2012
At my studio in Evendale.

I decided to have four girls sing on 'My Jesus, My Savior' due to the difficulty level of playing.

Only Grace will be playing on flute with me on piano.

Having fun after the rehearsal with the instruments I use for a group of 2-3 years old children.

Sunday morning rehearsal

Rehearsal went well!

We missed Sarah Lee and Hannah.
The rehearsal went very well.
We practiced three hymns - Jesus loves me, Shout to the Lord, and My Jesus and Thou wilt.
The girls sounded great even on their sight reading.
It went full hour but, every kept up very well!

Wednesday rehearsal (June 20, 2012)

We are having one at Susie's House, piano room.  

Sarah practicing before we all play together.

Grace is kindly showing Minjee how to make sound on a flute.

During the practice, Minjee made Turkey Ham eyes.

She is having so much fun.  

While Grace was playing her flute, Minjee apparently put her recorder in the end opening of Grace's flute to see if her recorder would make any sound.  And that makes Minjee laugh so hard!

After rehearsal is the snack time!

Pop corn and apple juice, then dinner.

Susie and Minjee had so much fun with Grace and Sarah.

Sunday Rehearsal

Last Sunday rehearsal (6/17) went pretty well.

Hannah had some difficulty COUNTING!! But, I am sure she will get better as we practice more. :)

She already improved since the last time.

We almost have My Jesus as Thou Wilt ready to perform!  So excited.

I am planning to add Shout to the Lord and Open the eyes of my heart.

Transposing

Ah....transposing is so tough.  But, getting the hang of it.
Finally figured out and understood how to write music for Clarinet.

Ice Cream Time

As I promised, we went to have ice cream.
I promised that I would treat them with ice cream when we play special music during the worship.
These girls did a fantastic job today

Sunday mornings

Regular practice takes place in this youth group Bible study class room.

Sister Power

Just thinking about it, it is funny how this group is made up of.

There are 3 pairs of sisters (including the photographer, Minjee) and a mom of one of the pair.  It is fun to see how these sisters interact each other at each gathering.  Blood is stronger than water, they say.

Sunday at 9:30 am

We are meeting at 9:30 am this Sunday.
Everyone needs to wear some kind of white color top and any color bottom.

Our Official Group Picture

We have an official photographer for our group. She is only six years old but does the job pretty decent.

Practice this Wednesday

We will have a practice this Wednesday at 1:30 pm. The location will be sanctuary.  We will be performing 'O, Mighty God' this Sunday.  Then, as I promised, ice cream party at Dairy Queen!

New Beginning

This is the group of kids who are attending Cincinnati Korean Baptist Church.  And who are willing to spend an hour on Sunday mornings to practice music in preparation for Special music during worship services.


We had our first performance on the last Sunday of April, 2012.


God has started this project through me after spiritual struggles and search.  


Praise Him of He is the only one worthy to be praised!
